Becoming a mother myself was an incredibly transformative experience.

My daughter, Sofie Maya, is my constant teacher and guide. Since her birth, I have dedicated myself to supporting other women and families on the wonderful journey to parenthood. Throughout my career to-date I have been lucky enough to walk with thousands of people throughout the childbirth continuum.

I initially trained as a doula in a red tent in Austria which gave me a strong foundation to go on to study Midwifery in London. After a few years of hospital based work I moved to Bristol and then focused on working between the community setting and at Cossham Birth Centre.

Since 2023 I now work outside of the NHS as an independent midwife offering a range of services and support for families. I am fully insured and work within the NMC code of conduct. I continue to develop my skills and midwifery experience and maintain a close relationship with NHS colleagues and practice. I am also studying my Masters in Global Maternal Health with City University London.

I recognise the need for a more holistic model of care and the inclusion of ritual, ceremony and intuition as part of the initiation into parenthood. It is truly humbling to be able to accompany women and their families embarking on the most exciting adventure of their lives.
